If you are Nichole, who is Madge?

People often ask me why my bakery is called Madge's Bakery when my name is Nichole. Madge is my mother's first name and my grandmother's middle name. They are my inspiration.

 

What do you sell?

I currently sell Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, Banana Crumb Muffins, and Zucchini Bread Muffins. I am choosing to keep my menu simple by only providing only exceptional baked goods. Also, each recipe that I bake has been submitted to the Orange County Health Department and been approved.

 

Where are you located?

I bake everything out of my home kitchen in Orange, CA.

 

But, can you sell food out of your home?

In January 2013, California passed a cottage food law (AB 1616) to allow certain foods to be made and sold out of home kitchens. You may refer to www.ocfoodinfo.com/cottage for more information about this new law. I have chosen to get the Class B permit which required that my home kitchen be inspected and approved by the County Health Department.
